This one of a kind hand painted China bell was painted by Louise D. Hubbard in 1981. Her initials (LH) are on the flower side, bottom right. Inside the bell is written, as pictured, the date and artists’ name (I knew the owner of this bell, also an accomplished artist, who made the documentation inside the bell, most likely with a China marker).
Ms. Hubbard passed away in KY May 2004. I will include a print out of her obituary with the bell which shares her membership affiliations with the International China Painter’s Organization and their guilds (clubs) in the Louisville area.
There are no chips nor other wear on this bell.
